About Jade

what jade?

There are three types of jade you’ll find in today’s market: Type A, Type B, and Type C.

At CULT JADE, we have one non‑negotiable: every piece we make uses only Type A natural jadeite. That means our stones are 100% natural, no chemical treatments, no artificial enhancements, nothing added and nothing altered. Just pure, authentic jade.

Type B jadeite undergoes heavy chemical processing and polymer‑resin infusion to make the surface appear smooth and glossy. Over time, this treated jade can fade, discolor, or lose its original structure. Type C jadeite goes even further; it includes all the treatments of Type B, plus added dyes to artificially enhance the color. While they may look appealing at first glance, these types of jade are far less durable, unstable over time, and ultimately not suitable for meaningful or long‑lasting jewelry.

We believe you deserve the best.

That’s why we’re committed to sourcing only genuine Type A jadeite, chosen for its beauty, integrity, and longevity.

Your trust and satisfaction are our top priority. If you ever need assurance, we’re more than happy to provide an official jade certification from the Hong Kong Kowloon Jade & Jewellery Laboratory Ltd.

why jade?

There’s an old Chinese saying: “You can put a price on gold, but jade is priceless.” And for good reason. Jade has long been celebrated across China and Eastern cultures not only for its beauty, but for its symbolism, luck, longevity, protection, and joy. Today, it stands as a gemstone that bridges ancient heritage with modern cool.

A Natural Original — No Two Are Alike

One of jade’s most captivating qualities is its natural variation. No two pieces are ever identical. From milky white to soft lavender, from deep mossy tones to the coveted Imperial Green. Each piece carries its own shade, intensity, and translucency. When you choose jade, you’re choosing something truly one‑of‑a‑kind.

Your Personal Lucky Charm

Jade has long been referred to as a stone of luck and happiness. Known for its gentle, giving energy, it’s said that jade doesn’t demand anything from you; rather, it offers love, courage, and support to help you rise into your highest self. It’s a talisman for dream‑chasers and quiet believers in good fortune.

Calming, Grounding Energy

Beyond its beauty, jade is revered for its healing and grounding qualities. It’s believed to bring tranquillity in difficult moments, helping the wearer feel centred and steady. Much like a loyal companion, jade stays close, absorbing your energy and giving back clarity, protection, and calm.

Tougher Than You Think

Jade isn’t just beautiful, it’s incredibly strong. Both jadeite and nephrite rank among the toughest natural stones on Earth, with a fibrous, interlocking structure that makes them up to 24 times harder to break than diamond. Ancient civilizations used jade to craft tools, weapons, and ceremonial objects because it could withstand nearly anything. Today, that same durability means jade jewellery is made to be worn, loved, and passed on.

A Spectrum of Colour

Though jade is often associated with green, it actually appears in a surprising array of hues. Colourless, white, yellow, orange, rich greens, lavender, and even black. This natural palette makes it versatile, expressive, and endlessly intriguing, whether you lean toward minimal or bold.
